Aw man! How did I get here? Wasn’t I sleeping? This is the third time this week I’ve woken up standing in my crib and it’s only Monday. I don’t even know how to get down. This is ridiculous.

Oh wait, I think I hear someone. No don’t turn around because I stopped crying! I’m just trying to listen out for you. Poop, I think Mommy went back to bed. I’d better try again.

Yes! The door is opening! Momm… hey wait a second that’s Daddy. I feel cheated, better kick the screaming up an octave.
Dad: “What the heck are you doing standing up little buddy, its freaking 2 o’clock in the morning. Shouldn’t you be asleep?”
Hey don’t get mad at me old man. Just because I’m trying to improve my latest development while I sleep and you can’t even manage to improve anything in your waking hours doesn’t mean you need to take it out on me. You’re crazy if you think I’m going to lay down and go back to sleep, I want Mommy.
Oh no he didn’t! He just pinned me down. Watch out neighbors! You’re about to lose some sleep over this one.

Ohh the patting on my back feels so nice, and that song is such a sweet out of tune sound in my ear. Daddy you’ve got the magic, but I’ll still get you back for this… Zzzzzz.

When my daughter sees me come into the room, she turns around and throws her self down on her bed. It tells me that she’s pissed that it was Daddy and not Mommy.

At least you got him back down! My daughter went through a 2 month stretch around that age, where she wouldn’t let her father near her at all. I think it was because he was always trying to shove a bottle in her face, and she hated bottles, preferring to nurse.
My first son was much worse about wanting Mommy over Daddy. Jonas does have a preference but it’s not as strong. He’s just less stubborn over all.
Cool story. I think I have that duologue with my daughter every once in a while. Great stuff!

Theresa, My wife had me dumb down some of his thoughts. I was having him use some big word, which is odd because I don’t know a lot of big words. No finger wag yet. I have been trying to teach him to do the robot, but with no success.
